A wonderfully soft knitted baby hat from Main Sauvage in the warm colour Dark Mocha, finished with cute bear ears. The hat is available for babies aged 0–3 months and 3–6 months and feels exceptionally soft thanks to the fine baby alpaca wool.

The hat is hand-knitted from 100% baby alpaca wool. This natural fibre is naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and temperature-regulating. As a result, the hat helps keep your baby comfortably warm on cold days, while the wool remains breathable.

What makes this Dark Mocha version extra special is that the colour comes directly from the natural shade of the alpaca. Therefore, no dyes are used for this hat.

Handmade with a special story

Main Sauvage's alpaca collection is entirely handmade in a fair trade workshop in Bolivia. There, women receive good working conditions and a fair income. This method of production contributes to better living conditions for families and supports children's schooling.

The baby alpaca wool comes from a spinning mill in the Bolivian Andes that collaborates with small-scale alpaca breeders.

Baby alpaca wool does not need to be washed often. The fiber naturally repels dust and odors, so regular airing is often sufficient.

When washing is necessary, we recommend hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent, such as baby shampoo, or a special wool detergent. Soak briefly and rinse carefully.

Remove excess water by gently rolling the hat in a towel. Do not wring. Reshape the hat and let it dry flat on a dry towel, away from direct sunlight.

Storage

Store the hat completely dry in a well-ventilated place. A sachet of dried lavender or a few cedar balls nearby help to keep wool moths at bay.
